 Hey Yall, kabarnya?
Pray that my alpha smart doesn’t go stupid so I can actually send a good email this week!

Monday:  I ATE COW TONGUE. Now I know never to ask people what kind of meet their feeding us I would’ve been better off not knowing.

Tuesday:  sister Y brought her friend to church and we met her again tonight. SHE IS SO AMAZING she is so open to learn, she said, “well, lots of people have been telling me this book is sesat (like wicked/culty/ lead’s astray) but if this is the lord’s way of leading me to truth I have to find it myself.”  :’) we will see her again on Saturday, her desire to find truth is so pure and beautiful.

Wednesday: Pak J is SO  HILARIOUS. Oh my goodness, so it’s kinda weird how we teach them, first of all we’re teaching on the side of the road where they sell cigs and gas, Bapak is always so pumped to learn, and ibu is taking it slow and it’s a bit squishy (the area where we teach em)  so I have to face the one and sister ratu has to face the other, so I had bapak this time. We read from the book of mormon.  HE WAS SO EXPRESSIVE WHILE READING, it was hilarious, but he absolutely loves the stories, when we read 1 nephi 3 verse 13 where Laban’s like, “yall are robbers I shall slay you”  Bapak was like “HOLY COW THIS GUY IS JAHAT SEKALI (SO MEAN!!!)”  we were dying of laughter.
He then said, “you asked me earlier why I felt luar biasa (SO AMAZING)  THIS. ((holding the book of mormon) Because this is amazing!”  it was so cute, he is just full of joy and he cant wait to be baptized, pray that his wife will want to come to church this Sunday too.

Also this week we have started teaching this adorable 17 year old who is not christian, we first met her in an angkot, and she speaks perfect english and started to come to english class, sh’es the one that we gave the plan of salvation pamphlet to and she told us she wanted to learn more.  HOLY COW she is so smart and she had soooo many questions that were tripping us out! It was awesome!  She was so funny, ya know we’re talking about us as spirits and the pre earth life and the spirit world and then she asks,
“you know angels?”
“Ya.”
“Mereka Nggapain?”  (like, what the heck are they doing) it was so funny, maybe it’s only funny in indoensia but I was dying! It’s such a good question, we believe in angels so she’s like, okay, what the heck is their job?  (k maybe it’s not funny to yall but her face was hilarious.)  she is great and wants to learn again this week!

This week we’ve been really trying hard to find more people to teach, we’re trying to talk to everyone or ask everyone for friends we can meet, so this week there’s been a few first (kinda crappy) lessons.  Cuz here’s the thing.  We have a 1 hour lesson rule, and indonesian’s LOVE. LOOOOOOOOVE. TO TALK!! They will go off for like 40 minutes and then they’re like, so why are you here again? And it’s like… uhhh…. No WAY can we teach the restoration in 20 minutes!!!  I mean we could, but we’re supposed to teach people not just give a presentation, so I’ve learned a lot this week on adjusting to different people and what to teach who and stuff like that.

This week has been pretty normal, maybe Saturday and Sunday I’ll have more stories, hopefully my alphasmart will turn on by then.

Yes my alphasmart is still working money in the bank.

Eh Saturday and Sunday were normal days.  We are struggling to get our investigators to come to church again, nothing new!  I will type out my journal entry from Sunday though because church was amazing and the spirit was really strong and it made me cry.
27th Agustus 2017
“Today was such a good day at church.  It waws a good reminder of how important church is and why I love going to church.  In sacrament meeting, the talks were all about temples.  It really touched my heart hearing Sister Titi’s story.  I just cant believe how much I’ve taken the temple for granted all my life.  The members here have to give their EVERYTHING to be able to go.  I literally have like 4 temples literally 20 minutes each away from me… and my whole life I just didn’t take the time to go.  I also thought about my family,  I don’t know anything about my ancestors.  I just think about how long they’ve been waiting for their ordinances to be performed, and I thought about my birth dad’s family that only believe Jesus to be a prophet, (cuz they’re not of a christian background).  I just wanted to cry thinking about all the blessings they’re missing out on.  I hope I will be able to be able to have a better relationship with my birth dad and his family, and I hope I can find out more of where I come from, and by building a better relationship with him will open the doors for Him to learn about the gospel.”

Those are Sister Rowntree’s thoughts for this week.  I know this gospel is true, and I know it’s only through God’s restored priesthood authority we can return to him and live together forever with our families.  This gospel is so so important, I hope we can all strive to become more like our savior, always looking for opportunities to serve, making time for the temple to serve our loved ones who have passed, to learn and grow everyday closer to our Father in Heaven.

“See that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye shall always abound in good works.”  Alma 7:24

The book of Mormon is so good,  God is good, and missionary work is amazing, I see the Lord’s hand in my life everyday, and I’m grateful for His atonement so I can start over everyday and try again to become a better person.

Happy Independence Day Indonesia!

Hey friends and family what's up?

HEY all you Avatar las Airbender  fans, you know the Rock King of the Earth kingdom?  King bumi?  do you know what bumi means in indonesian?  EARTH.

I HOPE YOUR MINDS ARE BLOWN CUZ MINE WAS WHEN I REALIZED THAT.

Monday: normal day we taught bu S and pak J.

Tuesday: we taught Mbak M she's so amazing and is reading the book of mormon and doing her homework, she just hasnt come to church yet, so we will work on that.

#dayinthelife:  I dont know if i've told yall this, but in indonesia lots of times we have to eat with our hands!  only with your right hand tho cuz the left hand is considered dirty cuz sometimes in bathrooms especially if it's a squat toilet and they dont have a hose to you know... clean yourself lol.  YOU GOTTA USE THE BAD HAND !  crazy huh, but dont worry i bring tissues everywhere just in case that happens!!

Wednesday: WE HAD THE MOST AMAZING INCREDIBLE LESSON EVER!!!!  so last week sister ratu and i were tots led by the spirit to find Pak D. we finally got to teach him the restoration. he's so cool, he is not satisfied with the bible at all, he thinks there is something missing, he believes that we all lived before life here so he's like, "but wheredoes  that say that in the bible?!?!"  he wants to know God's name he wants to be closer to him, but no churches have his heart here.  THE SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG.  Literally, i have never felt the spirit like that before in a lesson.  ya as misisonaries we have to teach by the spirit, but most of the time I'm like.. uhhh i sure hope this thought is from the spirit uhhh i sure hope this investigator is feeling it cuz i'm not sure, but this time I WAS SURE.
so after we shared our message we told him of how important it was for him to start reading from the book of mormon to find out for himself and to pray, we invited him to pray right then and there and ask god and then to just sit in silence and listen to the feelings that come to his mind and heart.  WE SAT IN SILENCE FOR 15 MINUTES WHILE HE PRAYED TO HIMSELF.  F I F T E E N MINUTES!  it was so cool, when he opened his eyes his eyes were all watery and he said he felt peace, we told him thta's how the spirit works, and that he'll feel that way when he ACTS!
we had to give him to the elders tho, it's better that they teach him but it was a blessing for me to be able ot be apart of that lesson, when i feel the spirit that tangible it's like a little love tap from heavenly father telling me i'm alright with him (:

thursday: HARI KEMURDEKAAN!!!  It was indonesia's independence day!!!! so awesome!!!  there was a fun party at the church! i send pics.  also we had a miracle afterwards at english class.  we are teaching this one girl who is not christian englsih, we asked if we could go to her house and share a message.  she said sure, the atmosphere wasnt very good to teach about jesus when we got there we didnt want to offend her family so we just left her with the plan of salvation pamfet hoping hs'ed read it by ehrself.  usually that never ends up happeneing UNTIL THIS NIGHT she came up to us and is like
"I read the book you gave me, i'm still confused, but i want to talk about it."  (by the way her father has already passed away)  she says it's better if we just meet at the church and teach her (': isn't that a miracle???  pray that sister ratu and i teach with the spirit ya!!

Friday :  PAK J COMMITED TO BAPTISM, it was awesome it was so funny, he's like, "wait... being baptized twice isn't a problem?"  no bapak, as long as your baptized with proper authority that's what's important (: so cool.  now he jsut needs to come to church.

I'm out of time, my alphasmart is broken so this email is gonna be short.
I learned a lot about faith this week, Moroni 7:33 has been in my heart this week,  "For Christ hath said, if ye will have faith in me, ye shall have power to do whatsoever which is expedient unto me."  isn't that so powerful?  I love the book of mormon!! it gives me so much hope when times are hard.

Read it, and pray about it, ponder it, and apply it's teachings.  I lvoe this gospel, i love indonesia and i cant wait to find more people this week and teach these beautiful truths! (:

1) my mom sent me Castiel (my fave character from Supernatural (: )
2) LOMBA LOMBA which is like... different kinds of games for independence day!
3-4) some of my favorite members (':

A week of miracle (I know, it's cliche but true)

Kabarnya keluarga yg terkasih ku?

Monday: woah. WOAH. We just had the COOLEST LESSON tonight with Pak J and Ibu S, Bapak, has been  doing his homework! Our lessons are quite hilarious though, he’s like 62 and likes to laugh and smile, we are teaching them on the side of the road at their toko where they sell ciagerettes. You never know who’s ready right?  Anyways, every time we meet, he gets out his kitab Mormon and he wants us to reread every verse he already read for homework, and after each verse he asks, “maksudnya ini apa?”  “what does this mean?” you should see us scrambling to get our english scriptures out, it’s hilarious, cuz like, ya I can read the book of mormon in indonesian, BUT he wants to know the meaning of 1 Nephi 2: 24 “and if it so be that they rebel against me, they shall be a scourge unto thy seed to stir them up in the ways of rememberance” YOU TRY EXPLAINING THAT IN INDONESIAN haha, it’s so funny, he is just dying to learn so much.  But here’s the thing.. we’ve been meeting with them for like 2 weeks I think? And WE HAVEN’T TAUGHT THE RESTORATION YET!! Cuz bapak always wants to read from the book of mormon which is AMAZING! But it’s like, bro, do you want to know where this amazing book came from  or nah?
He’s so funny, we finish his verses and he’s like okay ibu (talking to his wife) pray. And we’re like woah woah woah we have one more thing to share with you, have you ever heard of joseph smith?  They both go “apa itu?” what is that? Hhaha, so we tell the story and give the first vision.
During the lesson, sister ratu asked pak if he believed the book of mormon was the word of god.  He said yes,  and if he believed joseph smith was a prophet.  He said yes, “while you were telling His story, I felt goosebumps”  that’s the first thing he said when he started to read the book of mormon, he got goosebumps.  I cant wait til we invite him to be baptized.
This is the guy who saw us with our miracle contact every week, and finally he asked us himself for a book of mormon.  Cool huh?  The Lord’s timing is perfect.

Tuesday: We had to drop a family that we were teaching, so sad ): but, we just don’t have time to keep teaching people who aren’t going to keep their commitments, hopefully in a future day other missionaries will teach them and they’ll be ready.

Wednesday: AHH!!!  Our investigattor that is not of christian backgorund SAID HER FIRST PRAYER WITH US TODAY!! Holy cow we’ve been trying since JUNE to get her to pray in the name of Jesus Christ, and she finally did today. I cried, it was beautiful, she starts with “Bapa di Surga” (father in heaven,) and then all of a sudden she stops and opens her eyes and says, WAIT I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY?!? It was so cute, we just told her to pray from her heart, to thank heavenly father for her many blessings and ask Him if our message is true, if she really needs to follow this path and if Jesus Christ is really her Savior (‘:  she’s been reading the book of Momron this whole time, and she said something way cool about it today, she says “I really understand, the book of mormon is easier to read, it’s so clear.” And we’re like “that’s the spirit helping you understand!” today we taught her about revelation and how the spirit speaks to us. I love her so much, and I know that because she is acting and actually reading the book of mormon and NOW SINCE SHE’S GONNA PRAY TO HEAVENLY FATHER IN CHRIST’S NAME !!  (: (: (: she will for sure start to develop her faith in Jesus Christ.
I am so grateful for the Indonesia Jakarta mission, I have the opportunity to teach people who don’t even know who Jesus Christ is, it’s hard,, don’t get me wrong, but it’s really special.

Also tonight we taught Pak J and bu S again. SHE FINALLY READ LIKE 2 PARAGRAPHS FROM THE BOOK OF MORMON!  That’s a miracle!!  She hasn’t even touched it these past few weeks we are making progress yall. Bapak is still amazing as ever, he is so excited to learn and he says he gets that good feeling every time we teach. (‘:  can you believe that he’s on the SAME STREET as our miracle contact? In fact, THEY SELL LITERALLY RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER, like so close, soooo close. ANNND before we even met our miracle contact we have an investigators house that is LITERALLY. RIGHT. ACROSS. THE STREET. WHAT.  Do you know how many times sister angelie and I passed this street??!?!?  A MILLION, we NEVER stopped to talk to the people across the street AND THEY. WERE THE ONES. WHO WERE PREPARED. WHAT!!!!
Ugh I just want to punch myself for not opening my mouth MONTHS ago, it’s a testimony builder that I cant judge a book by it’s cover, I have to talk to everyone bc God knows who His elect are, not me, I don’t get to decide, but I know us missionaries are responsible to talk to all of god’s children cuz heavenlly father literally just places them in our paths without us even knowing!  Missionary Work is so cool

Kamis: I forgot what happened this day..  #DayintheLife3
Tanggal 17 Agustus is coming up!! That’s indonesia’s independence day!! Holy cow, our neighborhood is even more lit, so the people here they’ll close off the roads to little kampung’s (neighborhoods) and they’ll have these things called Lomba Lomba, which are cute relay races and it’s so hilarious to go  outside our house and see cute old grannies tying like, vegatables to themselves (for some reason, it’s a part of the game I guess) and run around.  So now bc the roads are closed to our house we have to find shortcuts to avoid the little parties its funny.

Friday: WE MET SO MANY COOL PEOPLE TODAY,holy cow, so, we spent all morning filling up the baptismal font for YOU KNOW WHO’S BAPTISM(((: so that was fun and then, ALL OF OUR APPOINTMENTS CANCELED, so we’re like, well crap, now what are we gonna do.  We went and saw Sister Y (miracle contact) we had to finish her lessons so she could be ya know BAPTIZED (can you tell I’m excited?) but throughout the day we kept meeting the coolest people, and me and sister ratu would both get the same feelings to talk to the same person and I know that was the holy ghost guiding us to them, we met this one guy while he was eating and he’s like, oh you’re mormon?  Hebat, hebat. (awesome awesome)  I have a book of mormon too and I’m searching for a pure religion, and we’re like, uhhh HEY so we got his number for the elders, and then at the park tonight there was this lady sitting on the bench
Okay yall the struggle is real, the thing that kills missionaries on the field is fear, it’s the devil’s strongest tool, you all know me, I cant ever shut up right, but when it comes to park contacting, I GET SO NERVOUS and all these thoughts like,”youre gonna sound like an idiot, she’s gonna think youre weird, she’s probably not even christian gini gini gini” pop into my head, and I become afraid!  Ugh, I know those feelings arent from god, and I Know that as missionaries we need to FEAR NO MAN, but it can be so hard sometimes, but thank goodness I have my awesome companion, and she’s like , come on just talk to her, so we did, turns out her husband just that day was searching the internet abouot the Book of Mormon (hopefully good things)  and we’re like,  Here have one or your own!  And he was so excited!  He’s catholic but he says he likes learning and he’s open to here what we have to say. COOL HUH! What a day, and tomorrow is going to be the BEST DAY EVER !! (:

Saturday:  Miss Miracle got baptized (‘:  what a miracle, the holy ghost led sister ratu and I to find her, the holy ghost and the power of the book of mormon softened her heart and she decided she wanted to follow the example of jesus christ. (‘:
After she was baptized she went up and bore her testimony she said, “I know this is the true church, I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, that Joseph Smith is a prophet, and Thomas S. Monson leads us today.”  It was beautifully simple and I know at that moment Heavenly Father just poured out his love to her, cuz afterwards she couldn’t stop crying! It was beautiful (‘:
My Patriarchal blessing tells me that the way will be opened for me to serve far from my home, and that I will feel happiness as I see the light of the gospel enter into people’s lives and that I hold in my hand the happiness of generations unnumbered. I’m not sure what that all means, BUT, I know I’m glad that I decided to serve the Lord.  This is His work, no way did me and sister ratu do the work for Sis Y.  (yall should’ve heard our first lesson giving the 1st vision we BUTCHERED it hahahaha)  but it’s okay, Heavenly Father wants us to learn and grow everyday,  I’ve become a better teacher, and it’s such a miracle, before in Bogor I would just sit and wait for my turn to testify, but now siter Ratu and I are testifying together and teaching together, it’s a miracle.
Yes missions are  for God’s children, but seriously, your mission is about that one convert, and that is you.  The saying, when you lose yourself, you find yourself is 100% true.
Now, I’m not saying I’m perfect, no way jose, but, I know that I must devote my life to the Savior, because he gave his life for me.  Enduring to the End doesn’t mean to just be a Sunday mormon, I know that when I get home, I have to be a better person, I have to be a disciple of Jesus Christ for the rest of my life. And I know that’s the easiest way for us to go through life, with the living gospel of Jesus Christ.

Oh ya, also on Saturday we had the COOLEST “coincidence”.  So we met this one guy who had met the sisters before months ago, so we planned a lesson with him, we couldn’t find his house ANYWHERE dia ngga jelas sama sekali -_-‘ so we’re asking all these ppl and they’re like, just ask the ibu RT so we did and she’s like COME IN COME IN AND EAT, and we’re like, okay, (indonesians are literally the most caring people ever) she gave us food, she’s definitely not christian so we’re like, do you have any christian friends?  She only knew one, and she immediately took us to him, cool.
We meet the guy, he’s like, OH I’VE HEARD OF YOU IVE READ THE BOOK OF MORMON COME IN. what. So we try to explain more who we are (cuz we’re not sure if he met with jehovahs witnesses instead… ngga jelas… (not clear)” but he just kept going on…. And on…. And on… all churches are the same… as long as you have faith.. gini gini gini… so FINALLY he let me talk, and I testified that our church is different and unique and that we have a living prophet on the earth today, ( I kinda got the same feeling as I did when we taught that mean pendeta (preacher)) like, how do I explain this… like… POWER FROM ON HIGH, seriously, and so he finally stops talking and lets us testify and his SON was listening in the other room and grabs the book of mormon from his dad and the restoration  pamflet and is like, I don’t really have a set church, and kept asking questions and we’re going to teach him on Tuesday! So cool! You never know who’s listening!

Missionary work is awesome. I have a favorite quote from the talk “The Riccardi Letter”  “whenever fear starts to creep up, open the book of mormon and read, and it will remind you of who you are.”  Amen. 3 Nephi 5:13 “Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.  I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life.”
aMEN to that!  Have a nice week yall, don’t forget who you are! (:
Sunday: a normal proselyting day, church was great of course because sis Y was confirmed a member of the church of jesus christ of latter day saints, AND SHE BROUGHT HER FRIEND!  And we’re gonna meeet and teach her friend on Tuesday COOL HUH already a missionary (‘:

i forgot to send the second half of my email lol.  WELL IT'S ALREADY LONG ENOUGH i swear i had a spiritual message at the end.  here's the last

"Missionary work is awesome, I have a favorite quote form the talk "The riccardi letter"  "Whenever fear starts to creep up, open the book of mormon and read, and it will remind yuo of who you are."  "Behold I am  a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life." amen to that, oh that's in 3 nephi 5:13 btw

remember who you are and have a nice week!

Hannah says "No fancy title this week" Mom says " A little too much TMI!💩"

Halo Keluargaku dan temanku, apa kabar?

Okay, so at the end of each night, I write down what happened during the day, so if my grammar is off or the tenses seem weird sorry, I’m too lazy to change (Thanks for the alphasmart mom)

Monday: Had fabulous Mcdonald’s fries cuz I won the challenge from elder subagio, I ended up eating SIX Cabe’s.  My next dare from him is to eat Mie Satan.  You know it’s hot when the word Satan’s in it.  Wish me luck, he’ll buy me lunch if I succeed.

Tuesday:  OUR MIRACLE CONTACT COMMITED TO BE BAPTIZED NEXT WEEK I’M FREAKING OUT!!!!!  WE JUST HAD THE BEST LESSON EVER, WE HAD 3 MEMBERS PRESENT AND WE COULD FINALLY TEACH HER AT THE CHURCH THE SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG IN SISTER RATU’S WORDS IT WAS TANGIBLE.  GOD WORKS IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS I CANT BELIEVE THIS IS HAPPENING.
Also we saw our newish investigators who are from Sumbah, we discussed the Book of Mormon, they are so open to learning, it’s beautiful and it’s so fun to teach them.  I love missionary work(:  One of them said that they got the goosebumps while reading Joseph Smith’s testimony in the book of mormon! Isn’t that so neat?  The holy ghost is awesome and I know they will keep their commitment to read(:

Wednesday:  Normal Day  #DayinTheLife2
Okay, so, this is gonna get a little weird.. but I’m always getting complaints about not emailing about my normal life, it’s like yall are sick of hearing the spiritual stuff and yall wanna hear the cultural stuff, so don’t complain this is the only thing I could think about for this week, it’s actually hilarious and maybe a bit immature but the struggle is so real here in Indonesia.  So..
Getting an upset stomach is just a normal day in the life here, we’re always told to just push through it, like upset tummy not with throwing up.. but… the other way… ya know?  Lol sorry.. BUT IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME, the places that we eat everyday probably aren’t the cleanest, so ya, we’re gonna get sick. So we have this saying as CODE RED,  cuz sometimes you wake up in the morning and youre like “ohh man I have sakit perut (sick stomach)”  but it’s once and you’re fine, BUT THEN there are times when you have CODE RED. Ugh the struggle is so real you guys, cuz sometimes when we’re biking we are far from each other so we have to ring our bells a million times to hear each other, or you get code red and theres NO INDOMARETS OR ALFAMARTS to go to and it’s like “SISTER!!! STOP!!! CODE RED CODE RED!!”  and we drop everything and find the nearest bathroom. (I’m sorry I’m trying not to die laughing at this but yall asked for it) and the worst of it all is that here in indonesia they only have squat toilets unless youre in a fancy mall or something.  Literally, its just a whole I nthe ground, and you just squat and go.  Oh man.  Indonesian leg tendants are SO FLEXIBLE ya know when you bend down and the back of your legs kill so your heels have to come up?  WELL INDOS DON’T HAVE TO DO THAT, they literally squat with such elegance, I was not born that way, so ya, there’s your probably way to much info about the struggles of being a missionary in indonesia when you GOT TO GO.
Thursday and Friday:  We had zone conference in Surabaya!  This time our district rode the fire train!  It was so much better, usually we ride the bus and I get sO car sick I want to die.  We have a new sister in the field too FINALLY. She’s from australia, also Elder Hurt from my MTC group is in my zone now so it’s really hilarious to see him now from time to time.  He’s serving in Manado WHERE THEY EAT DOG. AND CAT. AND RAT. AND BAT. YOU THINK I’M JOKING I AINT PLAYIN.  He took the saddest picture of dogs getting ready to be butchered L((((  like, there were cages with CUTE friendly lookin dogs and then above them on this thing were the carcuses of the dogs that are getting ready to be sold or eaten or something I don’t know I didn’t look at it at all I was too scared, thank goodness no sisters serve in Manado cuz I could never eat a cat no way jose.
Also I had to TRANSLATE for zone conference.  Aka, for each lesson by either President or the zone leaders or Sister Rowley or the STL’s  if they used english I’d have to translate it to indonesian for the Indonesians, or if President started randomly using indonesian again I’d have to translate his words into english for sister rowley HOLY COW. SO HARD.it was my first time!
1.       The gift of tongues is real.  Missionaries are sO not normal it is not normal to live in a foreign country for 6-8 months and be able to SPEAK the language, like. Not normal. This really is god’s work.
2.       2.  HOLY COW I NEEED TO IMPROVE MY BAHASA!  The poor indonesians probably had no idea what was going on, I’ll have to keep trying harder to improve my language.
3.       We talked about how to become better teachers, it was really good.
Saturday: just another normal day, sister ratu did get locked in a bathroom for 10 minutes, annnnd we taught our friends that are from Sumba, it’s like east indonesian islands, they’re all in college so they’re our age, and young and open to learn, one of them, she is acTUALLY doing her homework she has read from the intro of the Book of Mormon and the first chapter of nephi, she has so many beautiful questions oh and she’s read Joseph Smith’s testimony about how he got the plates, she is so willing to learn.  It’s so fun teaching them, It’s weird, I’d rather teach missionary lessons to a group of people instead of like teaching a relief society lesson in a ward. (I got asked Saturday afternoon to teach relief society the next day that was fun)((FROM A BOOK THAT WE DIDN’T HAVE IN ENGLISH SO I COULD TRANSLATE IT FIRST THAT WAS FUN)
I mean it’s always a good experience but it’s definitely one of my weaknesses.  I like to give talks, even though it’s scary I still feel like I can be myself but when it comes to teaching like in church, wadu I get so nervous, I’m hoping the mission will change that and I’ll be better at teaching in the saviors way (especially when it’s my language)

Sunday: Church was good.  Our Miracle Contact came again, we will see her every day this week, her baptismal interview is on Thursday and then SHE’LL GET BAPTIZED ON SATURDAY!!!  Life is good!  After church we tried to search for referals before our appointments.  We found this one lady,  it’s always so awkward contacting referals cuz they’re like,  “um… who are you… why are you here… I’m already christian byee”  so I always get awkward and nervous so here I am trying to stumble out our “door approach” ((missionaries in indonesia aren’t allowed to go tracting ((go door to door)) or we’ll get kicked out of the country)) so we just go around asking people where random people live and we stand outside their gate and yell “Permisi! (excuse me)” and pray someone nice will answer.  So ya I’m stumbling through our “Hey we are missionaries please let us in your house for your eternal salvation (; and this ibu says “What church are you from” IN PERFECT. ENGLISH. And I like stop and stutter,  and I’m like “wait. YOU SPEAK ENGLISH?!?”  and she’s like, “yeah very well, my husband’s american.”  “where is he from??”  “SALT LAKE CITY UTAH.”   “WHAT?!!?!?  I’M FROM THERE.”  “Oh, are you mormon?”  ‘’YEAH HI”  “oh, so is my husband.”
BOOM ARE YOU ON THE GROUND DEAD?! CUZ I ALMOST FAINTED AT THIS CONVERSATION. Can you believe that?!?!  Literally, here we are in the middle of INDONESIA anad we meet this indonesian lady that speaks english WHO HUSBAND WAS A MORMON AND ALL OF HER FAMILY IN AMERICA IS MORMON WHAT!?!?!?
She goes to a different church but she says we can come back after the 17th(Indonesia’s Independence Day)  I’m so excited.  Pray that she’ll accept our message ya?

Ya, our neighborhood right now is so lit!  Indonesian’s are SO EXCITED for their freedom day!  It’s so cute! Our neighbors got US flags to put up in the front of our house!  And everyday everyone is outside of their houses painting or just chilling it’s awesome, I cant wait for the 17th I hear there’s so many cool things that happen on that day.

Wow, this email wasn’t very spiritual, sorry, I know this church is true with all my heart though!  I wouldn’t still be out here if I didn’t.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ is so real, I need it, you need it, we all do.  I sure hope if you don’t have a testimony you’ll test out this gospel for yourself, what’s it gonna hurt?  Eternal Salvation?  That sounds nice.  I know Joseph Smith was called of God to restore Christ’s church bck on the earth and I’m so grateful for his sacrifice. Jesus is the Christ, and He loves you perfectly, and that is so comforting to know we can always repent and try again.  Heavenly Father is aware of you and loves you with all his heart. I hope we can all show our love to Him, all he does is ask us to follow His Son.

Mosiah 2: 20  “I say unto you, my brethern, that if you should render all the thanks and praise which your whole soul has power to posses to that God who has created you,..”
“…I say, if ye should serve him with all your whole souls yet ye would be unprofitable servants.”
22 “and behold, ALL that he requires of you is to keep his commandments”
41 “And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the  blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God.  For behold, they are blessed in all things,…. And if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of NEVER ENDING HAPPINESS.”

O remember these things are true (:
